Doing a radio story about someone miming to rock songs might seem like a challenge, but I was happy with how this one turned out.
Dan Crane, the perennial MC of the U.S. Air Guitar organization, turned me on to Maureen "Mo" O'Neill. Mo's an accountant in her early 60s who escaped decades of loneliness and isolation by reinventing herself as hard-rocking competitor Smart Old Broad. I tagged along as she prepared to vie for the national championship.
