The Mini Market Report
One regular feature of KCRW's weekly Good Food show is the Market Report, in which Laura Avery chats with Santa Monica farmers market vendors about what's fresh and in-season. I decided to pay homage by having a similar chat with the manager of my local 7-11. I worried the "Good Food" folks might be offended by my affectionate parody, but they very graciously aired it right after the Market Report.
I did a follow-up for Valentine's Day, explaining how to show That Special Someone how much you care, by shopping for a gift at the nearest gas station or dollar store.
