One regular feature of KCRW's weekly Good Food show is the Market Report, in which Santa Monica Farmers Market Manager Laura Avery chats with vendors about what's fresh and in-season at the market. I decided to pay homage by having a similar chat with the manager of my local 7-11.
I worried that "Good Food" producers might be offended by my affectionate parody, but they very graciously put it on the air -- right after the Market Report.
I did a follow-up for Valentine's Day, explaining how to show That Special Someone how much you care, by shopping for a gift at the nearest gas station or dollar store.
